Day 24....The Pins Turned More! October 3, 2010

First, I should start out by saying.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICH!!  :-)  He's my older brother and he turned  45 today.  My GOD, we're all getting old.  Where is the time going??Who do I write to take make time stop...or, for God's sake, slow down?!?  At least in this chapter of my life, I feel like I'm doing something worth while.  Something with real purpose...like loving and raising the cutest and happiest Luv Muffin possible.  I feel his unconditional and unwavering love. And I'm sure Rich could say the same about his beautiful family.  Children really do add a lot to your life...not that it's absolutely necessary to a child to live a full life...I'm just glad I didn't miss out!  I was prepared to go thru life childless...and that would have been fine, too.  But this earth would be less without Aiden. :-D

Today was my Mary Kay Party with Jennifer Kozel.  I had to wake up VERY early, but it was worth it.  It was about time I did something for myself...got a little pampering.  I just had enough time to shower and shove a granola bar down my throat.  I think I chewed it two times.  Like a silly girl, I put make up for the first time in weeks...only to have to take it off during the party.  Once I was all ready, I went to go see how my Luv Muffin was doing.  He was on nurse, Sandy's lap watching some Sesame Street on her laptop.  He was so happy to see me...and me him!  I got to give him kisses, because of course...HE doesn't give the kisses...he just leans over and offers his head to receive kisses...teehee.  That's when the door bell rang.  I tried to hand Aiden to Sandy...and he was NOT havin' that.  He got his mama and he didn't want to let her go.  So I just brought him upstairs to invite Jennifer and her cute little helper, Emily (her daughter) in. It was soooo cute!! Aiden kept smiling at Emily! He was too shy to show off any of his signs or tricks, though. 

We brought Jen and Emily upstairs, and of course Murphy, our puppy, wanted to chew on their toes.  Silly Murphy!!!  Jen and Emily set up the dining room table with each place mat with a mirror & our specific types of cleansers and makeup.  It was quite lovely!  As they were setting up, Patty and Michelle arrived....Veronica was already here.  We sat in the living room and chatted...trying to keep Aiden...or Murphy out of trouble and away from each other.  When everything was set up, we all moved to our specified chairs.  Jen gave a great presentation, showed us how all the products worked, and let us try on some make up.  It was wonderful!  Juan was downstairs with Aiden...he was taking a nap and eating.  Juan is a SAINT!  Because I'm the one who hosted this party...I pretty much got $50 of products for $13!!  Can't beat that!  I got 3 shades of eye shadow, tinted lotion, and lip gloss.  WOOHOO!!!  If we would have been in better shape financially, I COULD have purchased $75 worth of stuff for only $35.  Next time!!!  It was awesome because Frank, Juan's brother who knows a lot about make up artistry, gave me tips on what color eye shadow to choose and how to apply them.  I felt like a pretty lady!  I believe the party went well. 

 

After Jennifer and her cute little helper packed up and headed home, I went downstairs for an Aiden fix.  We just played for a while.  I guess while I was hosting my party...Sandy and Juan tried turning his pins, and once again, they turned.  One stopped just shy of the end of the second turn.  Who knows what will happen tomorrow.  We hung out downstairs while Aiden ate...the boys watched Sunday Night Football (they got home early tonight!)  It didn't take long before Aiden was BEGGING Juan to pick him up and take him to get ready for bed.  He was soooo tired.  We gave him a bath and did his care...and with in minutes, he was asleep in Papa's arms.  I'm telling you...he's on the every other day...early/late plan!  Tomorrow night, he'll fall asleep at 2am...just wait and see!  One thing that was pretty awesome was, earlier that night he put his fingers in his mouth, sort of pulling down his bottom lip, and you can totally see Aiden's bottom teeth...and it's almost even with the top teeth.  That is absolutely amazing!! It's GOT to feel weird...I wonder if it's irritating at all.  It doesn't seem to bother him.  About an hour after he fell asleep tonight, he did wake up crying...we don't know if it was a nightmare or pain...so we gave him Motrin. That ALWAYS seems to help.  Other wise, he's been sleeping very still.  Juan stayed up and read  most of his two chapters he needed read by tomorrow night.  I, myself, am running on fumes.  I even took a mini nap while Juan was next to me reading.  Maybe a 45 minute nap, I'm not sure.  Aiden just finished his feeding, so I should unhook him and flush his g-extension with water.  Adios Amigos and Buenos Noches!!!  As always, check out the pictures below and I added a short, pretty darned cute video below.
